Snow !!! It never snows here in Maycomb and me and Jem are so excited! There wasn't alot, so we made a figure out of dirt and then put snow over it. Our father told Us to disguise it because it looked so much like Mr.Avery! So we put a hat on it and clippers in its hands. We had to take as much snow from Mrs.Maudies yard because we loved it!
I got woken up in the middle of the night by my father who helped me put my robe on and get Jem. I was really confused because it was so late. We walked downstairs and outside to find Mrs. Maudie's house on fire! Some of the neighbors helped her get furniture out , but her whole house ended up burning to the ground. During the fire someone put a blanket on me. In all the confusion I couldn't figure out who did it until I did, it was Boo, Boo Radley.. I. Might just throw up!

Ch 7

Now I'm in second grade and I still. Hate it. Jem promised me it will get better though. Everytime we go by the knothole there is something new! Some string, gum, coins, etc.! But in the fall this time there was soap.. Shaped like me and Jem! There was also some medals and other little things.
The next day, we found that the knothole had cement In it! So we asked Nathan Radley what happened. Nathan said he filled it with cement because the tree was dying. I'm gonna miss all those cool things in there!

Well now it's September and my good friend Dill left to go back home, I guess I'll see him next summer. School is awful! My teachers name is Miss. Caroline Fisher. I was the only one who knew how to read , and I got in trouble for it! My teacher isn't very nice at all.
I told that to Jem at recess. Jem says that it's just her new way of teaching, but I don't like it. She was even mean to me in the afternoon! She offered a boy named Walter Cunningham Jr a quarter but his family is so poor he couldn't take it, so I explained that to my teacher. She didn't understand and got so mad at me that she slapped me with a ruler! I hate school !

Today was super scary! Jem, dill, and me sneaked over to Boo Radleys yard.. We were only trying to find Boo and look around. Maybe we could even lure him out. We heard a really scary noise we all ran as fast as we could. Jems pants got caught in the fence! We just kept running while his pants stayed on the fence.
That was the most scariest thing if my life ! Later, we went back to see if his pants were still there and the scariest thing happened next; Jems pants were FOLDED over the fence ! Someone, Boo , knew we were there and were going to come back.

Dill!

There was a new boy today that Jem and I think just moved in next door. We figured out that he only comes down in the summers and lives with his Aunt Rachael. He calls himself Dill, but his real name is Charles Baker Harris. We have been talking to him alot lately and now he is our friend ! We tell him about the town and especially Boo, who he wants to lure out of the house..this should be interesting.
